Groups Wanted!!!
hey guys, one of the visions for the network is to create a number of locational and jurisdictional groups to allow the posting of information to the screens of those it affects.
It is hoped that every lodge, every provincial and every Grand Lodge will be represented here, so please click the groups tab at the top of the page and see if yours are here. If not, and you don't mind, please can you create a group to cater for those in your lodge, and/or jurisidiction.
Here's what you do.
Click the Groups tab
Click "Create New Group"
Type in a name for the group, ie Lodge name and number, or Grand Lodge name
Place a description, basically... a group for those who are members of x lodge, or under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of ABC.
A group web address will be created automatically so leave that as is.
Make the group invite only, where two check boxes will appear, and have only the "people can request invitation" checked. (this helps control the group and maintain an audience of relevance)
Place the name and url for the official site (if one is not create then leave blank)
Your done. Well except you need to let others know the network and the group is here.
Once the group is created you will be taken to the group page, each individual groups gets a forum where relevant info and new can be posted for all those it effects can see. Lodge invites, special events, general news, etc etc Any problems with this page, or if you are unsure what to do with it, let me know and I will assist as best I can.
I appreciate that not all have additional time to add to their duties online, although the groups members will post the info, but all that would be required from the group starter is to check new memers every now and again to see if they belong to said group and invite them. Takes literally minutes and can be done once a month or so.
